National Insurance Institute - Letter to the Families

National Insurance Institute

Dear families, The "Swords of Iron" War is unlike any other war we have never experienced. The State of Israel is currently undergoing a difficult and painful period. Above all, you, the families whose loved ones have been abducted by cruel terrorists and held captive, are experiencing immeasurable suffering, concern for their well-being, and the expectation for their safe return amid prolonged and unbearable uncertainty. The National Insurance Institute (NII), responsible by law for caring for victims of hostilities and their families, shares in the great upheaval affecting our country, identifying with your pain, and partnering you in the efforts for their return. The National Insurance Institute is here to provide you with personal support and financial and emotional assistance that can, even in a small way, help during this challenging time. NII employees are in constant contact with you and are committed to supporting you, the families, and ensuring that your all rights are fully exercised. Furthermore, NII representatives serve on the The Kidnapped and Missing Persons, Returnees, and their Families Administration, accompanying you on behalf of the state and continuing to work in collaboration to initiate responses to your changing needs. At the National Insurance Institute, we continue to work on promoting legislation related to captives and returnees and to advance processes for its implementation. This is in continuation to our involvement in advancing legislation for benefits to families of captives and missing persons, an amendment to the law pertaining to grants, and institution of benefits in lieu of salaries for captives.
