B. Compensations and Grants Social Security A quarterly payment to promote efforts to release and locate hostages and missing persons in accordance with Benefits to Family Members of Missing Persons or Hostages in Hostile Act or War Law-2023: ■ Family members (parents and partners) will receive a quarterly payment of 90,000 NIS that will be provided according to the specific family composition of each captive/missing person. ■ The payment will be made equally to the parents and partners: 45,000 NIS to the parents and 45,000 NIS to the partner. Quarterly Payment to Siblings/Children of Captives/Missing Persons: ■ Children aged 21 and over and siblings aged 22 and over will receive a quarterly payment of 21,000 NIS each. ■ Note: a stepbrother/stepsister will also receive the payment if they meet the following criteria: Their biological parent and stepparent were married or were common-law partners, they lived with their parents until age 22, and were not in the custody of their other parent. ■ Following a legislative amendment, quarterly payments were made on March 4, 2024 to children and siblings aged 18-21 who had not previously received payments - payment was made retroactively from October 7, 2023.
Frequency of Payments:
■ The payment will be made automatically once every three months, for as long as the captives have not been returned / the missing persons have not been located.
