Development and Regulation of Bedouin Settlements

VISION The Bedouin society in the Negev will be integrated into Israeli society, flourish, and benefit from formalized sustainable settlement, based on local authorities and stable civil society organizations. Overarching Objective - The Authority for Development and Settlement of the Bedouin in the Negev The authority will constitute a focus of professional knowledge and will have the necessary tools and powers to manage the task of formalizing settlement from the planning stage until its implementation in practice, with the aim of changing the map of the Negev. Overarching Objective – The Senior Division for the Socio-Economic Development of the Bedouin Society in the Negev The Division will strive to strengthen the local authorities and civil society organizations in the Bedouin society in the Negev and to empower them as independent organizations that provide municipal and social services on a level equal to that of their counterparts in Jewish society.
