The Ministry of Education's guidance process for child returnees and the staff of their educational institution: ■ Accompanying the educational teams in the absorption processes of student returnees - each institution accepting a child returnee is allocated a psychologist and an educational counsellor to accompany the ongoing process that begins before the student's actual return. ■ Creating a personal connection - the educational team is responsible for establishing an ongoing personal connection with the child returnee and their family. ■ Identifying personal needs and designing solutions to meet these needs - the educational institution is responsible for identifying the needs of the student and their family and for designing a personalized intervention program tailored to meet academic, emotional and social needs. ■ Training the educational teams - training sessions have been conducted at each relevant educational institution to promote the readiness of the educational teams, the students and their parents to welcome the child returnees. ■ Multi-professional work - accompanying the child returnees requires a multi-faceted team that consists of a variety of professionals: supervisory teams, educational staff, representatives of the educational psychology service, the local authority, and welfare. ■ Therapeutic responses - emotional and therapeutic responses are provided by different parties in the community, including welfare services and NII. In addition to these therapeutic responses, the educational institution offers students emotional and therapeutic options according to needs that arise and in coordination with all entities in the local authority, welfare, and the Administration. Solutions provided by the Ministry of Education to child returnees and their families: The emotional, social and academic support is provided according to their needs while coordinating with the student returnees, their families and other relevant parties.
