Suspension of limited bank account as the result of checks refused due to "insufficient funds": ■ The below is relevant for checks that were returned due to "insufficient funds" between 7.10.23-21.1.24. ■ According to the emergency regulations published by the Minister of Justice, captives and their first-degree family members who issued checks from an account registered in their name that were refused due to insufficient funds may contact their bank and request to remove these checks from the list that leads to the account being limited, and from the list intended as a caution for up to 5 checks refused due to insufficient funds (this caution influences the indication of a solvency problem transmitted from the credit agencies). Important: this right can also be exercised retroactively i.e., you may contact the bank after 21.1.2024 to request to remove checks refused between 7.10.2023-21.1.2024.
