Annual Convalescence Payment: ■ An annual convalescence payment (equivalent to 8 convalescence days a total of 3,592 NIS) for each eligible person. ■ Who is eligible for the annual convalescence payment? • Partners of captives/missing persons who receive ongoing payments. • Parents of captives/missing persons who receive ongoing payments. • Children both of whose parents are captive or missing, are over the age of 18, and who receive ongoing payments. Loans for personal needs and special expenses: ■ Partners and parents may be eligible for loans to assist in financing a child's wedding or bar/bat mitzva. ■ Partners, parents, and children both of whose parents are missing or were abducted can also receive a loan for personal needs once every three years. Assistance in covering debts: Parents, partners and children both of whose parents are missing or captive, and who have accumulated debts as a direct result of the tragedy or who are having difficulty contending with previous financial commitments, or whose rehabilitation has failed and who have business-related debts - can submit a request for assistance up to three years from the day of abduction/disappearance. Participation in costs of installing or using a telephone: ■ Parents are eligible for a one-time reimbursement of 50% of the cost of installation or transfer of telephone in their private home. The sum of reimbursement: up to 206 NIS for installation costs and up to 48 NIS for transferring an existing telephone line.
