Appendix 2 - Methodology

1

The following report focuses on the year 2023 and reviews areas within different dimensions of the Palestinian Authority’s educational system in Judea and Samaria, primarily in the context of the conflict with Israel and attitudes toward Israel and Jews.

2

The report examines several key areas, including teacher guides and textbooks, the Palestinian Teachers’ Union, activities that took place on school premises, content and activities on official school social networks, PLO and Fatah summer camps (including those in Gaza), UNRWA schools and teaching staff in Gaza, activities at prominent universities in Judea and Samaria, and public statements and activities of senior Palestinian Authority (PA) and Fatah officials.

3

The research primarily focused on 2023. It involved reviewing materials and references in Arabic on websites, social media, and media outlets, alongside reports from research institutes at every level of the Palestinian educational system.

4

In this context, sincere thanks and deep appreciation are extended to research institutes and civil society organizations for their crucial work monitoring the Palestinian Authority and Palestinian agitators over many years.

5

It is essential to closely monitor the PA’s conflict with Israel, considering its cultural, religious, and national dimensions. This is crucial for understanding the perspective of the Palestinian leadership and how it influences public opinion, particularly among children and young adults.
