Chapter 4 Antisemitism and Indoctrination Promoting the Destruction of Israel in Summer Camps for Students
Glorification of Imprisoned Terrorists 9 During the summer camps, the children also praised terrorists serving prison sentences in Israeli jails for carrying out attacks in which Israeli civilians were murdered. For example, children at the PA summer camp in Khan Yunis were photographed holding pictures of senior Fatah member Marwan Barghouti, serving five life sentences in Israeli prison for planning attacks during the Second Intifada in which many Israelis were killed, and Hassan Salameh, a senior member of Hamas’ military wing, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, serving 46 life sentences for his involvement in planning suicide bombings that killed dozens of Israeli civilians.
7 In the summer camps, the educational activities involved dividing the children into groups named after historical figures and learning about their life stories.

On the board, the names of terrorists and their death dates were written, including Dalal al Mughrabi – 11.3.1978; Omar Abu Lila, who murdered a soldier and an Israeli civilian in an attack at the Ariel junction – 19.3.2019; and [Mohammed] al-Tarayrah – a 17-year-old boy who murdered a 13-year-old Israeli girl in her sleep in Kiryat Arba – 30.6.2016.
10 One of the activities in the summer camp in Tarkumiya included praising the terrorist Muhammad al-Badan, who worked in the council and is imprisoned in Israel after carrying out a stabbing attack in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem in October 2008, where he murdered an older man and injured a policeman. The children presented bars symbolizing a prison, with “Muhammad al-Badan” written on them. The director of the summer camp in Tarkumiya, Ranad Abu Dabous, emphasized on the Facebook page of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports the absence of al-Badan from the camp activities due to his imprisonment: “We must make him present in the field because our prisoners are also heroes.”
57 Al-Nabulsi – one of the founders of the terrorist organization ‘The Lions’ Den,’ which was responsible for a series of shooting attacks in Judea and Samaria; al-Halabi murdered two Israeli civilians in 2015 in a stabbing attack on HaGai Street in Jerusalem.
