Opera “Salome” | The Israeli Opera, Tel Aviv

Under the direction of Itay Tirna, the Israeli Opera is staging an impressive production of Richard Strauss’ opera based on the scandalous play by Oscar Wilde that tells the story of Princess Salome who’s famous “Dance of the Seven Veils” symbolizes the unbridled passion of a woman who refuses to give up her love. In an almost dystopian postmodern world, Strauss’ rich and complex music intensifies the drama in a work that is one of the most exciting and daring of the classical repertoire. With the participation of soloists from Israel and abroad. May 8-18, isreal-opera.co.il
