Exhibition “Research Routine” | The Shenkar Design Research Center, Ramat Gan This exhibition delves into 70 years of Israeli design, presenting rare catalogs, photographs, texts and archive material from local craft and design exhibitions from the 1950s to the present day. “Exhibitions are one of the main tools for understanding local design”, explains Galit Gaon, director of the Shenkar Research Center. “They teach us about work processes, materials, and technology alongside the aspirations and imagination of local creators”. Visitors are invited not only to discover the artifacts on display, but to also take part in the exhibition’s construction by bringing in materials from their own private archives, have them scanned and processed in real time, and assimilated into the collection. This is a rare opportunity to see how cultural knowledge becomes an archival document and witness an exhibition take shape live in real time. Until August 2026, designarchive. shenkar.ac.il

The original Great Isaiah Scroll is currently on display in the Shrine of the Book in its entirety (717 cm). It is the oldest complete biblical manuscript to have been discovered to date. It was first displayed in 1965 when the Shrine of the Book space was inaugurated, before being replaced by a faithful copy three years later. The Isaiah Scroll is the most significant of the scrolls to have been discovered in the Judean Desert’s Qumran Caves. The exhibition examines it from up close, considering it as an archeological artifact, analyzing the materials and techniques used to make it, the evidence of its use before it was buried in the cave, and its exceptional cultural significance. The exhibition also shows visitors how the scrolls were found and how they eventually made their way to the Shrine the Book. Until July 2026, imj.org.il/en
