With the kids The Porat Theater’s Yaron children’s festival | Tel Aviv Named in honor of paratrooper Yaron Yerushalmi z”l, the Porat Theater’s “Yaron Festival” is taking place during the Purim holidays, with notable performances including the new musical “Let us grow in peace”, based on Shlomi Shabat’s greatest hits, a play based on the “Cramel” tv series with songs and surprises inspired by the award-winning book series by Meira Goldberg Barnea, and more. Shows will be taking place in six locations in Tel Aviv, including various museums, the Cameri Theater, the Soldier’s House and Tel Aviv University. Tickets to performances taking place in one of the museums will also also provide free admission to the museum itself for the same day of the performance. Food The Mateh Yehuda Rural Food Festival | The Mateh Yehuda Regional Council The Mateh Yehuda Rural Food Festival shines a light on the impressive diversity of the region’s cooking traditions, with three weekends of events and encounters in the home and kitchens of local foodies, chefs, and amateur bakers and cooks. 75 homes, yards, farms and culinary businesses will be open to the public, with food from such diverse cuisines as Kurdish, Moroccan, Iraqi, Yemenite, Tunisian, Ethiopian, Arab, Argentinian, Brazilian, and more. Alongside boutique wineries, dairies, bakeries, farms, coffee carts and culinary pop-ups, the festival will also feature guided culinary tours and events to mark the month of Ramadan in the Arab villages of the Mateh Yehuda region. 140 artists from Israel and around the world (including the UK, Germany, Lithuania and Portugal) will be taking part in the 28th Felicja Blumental Festival with 17 special performances. The festival’s theme this year is “Reimagining” - the ability to stop, question and see differently what we thought we already knew. The festival will be opening

with a reimagining of Schubert’s Winterreise by Hans Zender blended with the original Israeli production “Summer Journey”. The festival lineup also includes performances by German baritone Matthias Goerne who will be singing some of Schubert’s most beloved lieds, and more. March 16-21, fbmc.co.il
