Excellence Recognized | EL AL achieves ‘Platinum’ rating in the Maala Corporate Responsibility Index
The Olympic Games in Paris ended with a historic achievement of seven medals for Israel, lifting the Israeli spirit. However, it wasn’t just sports making Israelis proud. At the Cultural Olympiad, held concurrently with the Olympics, Israel was represented with great honor by the artist Noa Klagsbald and her project, GOAL. GOAL is a collaborative project created with Hapoel Bnei Lod F.C., a diverse football team representing the city of Lod. Klagsbald is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in sculpture and photography, with her works featured in significant collections in Israel and In July, the Maala Organization for Corporate Responsibility published its latest ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings, alongside diversity, inclusion, and gender equality rankings. EL AL was awarded a ‘Platinum’ rating for its performance in 2023, marking the airline’s first time achieving this distinction since the COVID-19 pandemic. Since October 7, EL AL has operated hundreds of flights to bring Israelis home from across the globe, keeping Israel connected to the world. The airline has also transported tens of thousands of tons of essential cargo to Israel and has supported the Hostages and Missing Families Forum in their efforts to return hostages and missing persons.
