With a Sense of Mission and Great Pride: EL AL’s Special Flight with Eden Golan and Israel’s Delegation to the Eurovision

In collaboration with the Israel Public Broadcasting Corporation (KAN), EL AL flew Eden Golan and the Israeli delegation to Eurovision 2024 on a special flight bound for Malmö, Sweden, where the competition took place. Designated flight LY140, symbolizing victory in gematria, coincidentally mirrored the number of Eden’s song in the semi-finals (song no. 14). “I am en route to represent my country on the world’s grandest music stage, and this year, more than ever, we have a crucial role in demonstrating that Israel stands strong and resilient. I feel deeply honored and accountable, and I wish to extend my gratitude to all for months of unwavering love, trust, and support, which serve as a constant reminder of the country I represent”, said Eden before departing for Malmö. Following a remarkable and captivating performance, securing an honorable fifth place, and receiving immense adoration from the European audience, Eden returned to Israel with the Kan delegation aboard an EL AL flight. Personally greeted by the Captain and the entire delegation during the flight, she even had the opportunity to speak with the President of Israel over the phone. Upon landing, her song “Hurricane” was played, and Eden and the delegation were met with applause, bouquets, and heartfelt praise for the distinguished honor they bestowed upon Israel amidst adversities and challenges.
