What inspired you to join EL AL Airlines? “I always wanted to become a travel agent and at one time in high school, we had to find ourselves a work placement position. As luck would have it, I found one in a Copenhagen travel agency and discovered the world of flight ticketing and tourism. A few years after I made Aliyah from Denmark, I sent my resume to EL AL and started working for the company two weeks later”. What does your position entail? “I help customers book flights and additional services within EL AL’s humanitarian aid framework. I also assist customers who contact us via WhatsApp, phone, and social media”. What do you most like about your job? “I enjoy helping customers find the best solution for their trip and assist them while they are abroad. I feel extremely gratified when customers I assist come back happy and content. I love being a part of the company’s humanitarian program and assisting customers in general”. Which part of your job do you find most challenging? “Negative feedback from the outside”. What do you always have in your suitcase? “Sports shoes and hand sanitizer – even in the pre pandemic days!”

Tips & Recommendations The Great Habous Olive Market in Casablanca: “a terrific place to wander around. There are stalls brimming with endless varieties of olives of every color, shape, and flavor, spices of every kind, teas, and medicinal herbs”. H ộ i An, Vietnam: “at nightfall, a million colorful lanterns illuminate the Old City, the little boats along the river light up in a flutter of colors and shades, and it’s a beautiful sight to behold. I highly recommend taking in the landscape while enjoying a meal in one of the rooftop bars you’ll find along the river”. The Le Marais restaurant in New York: “I keep kosher, so if you’re on the lookout for a top kosher steak – this is the place”.

Which EL AL destination do you most enjoy flying to and why? “New York. It’s a city with so much to offer – no matter how many times I visit, there’s always something new to see, experience and discover”. What do you do in your spare time? “I’m a football “fanatic” – I buy plane tickets to go see matches abroad, I’m a die-hard Arsenal fan, and a supporter of the Danish national team. I also love cooking and taking pictures”. What would you be doing now had you not joined EL AL? “I’d be working in the field of photography”.
