Cancer Research Is Our Future

The Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF) is a nonprofit organization ensuring Israel’s position as a worldwide research powerhouse. The ICRF is Israel’s top cancer research organization. It raises donations all over the world to fund groundbreaking Israeli research projects, conducted by the very best cancer researchers. The ICRF has been active since 1975 and has assembled a stellar oncology research “dream team”, as well as an international independent scientific committee with 50 of the world’s leading cancer researchers. To date, the ICRF has funded over 2,600 research projects that have exponentially improved treatments and developed life-saving drugs. EL AL and the ICRF share the belief that “Cancer Research Is Our Future”.

Awareness Month, a cause EL AL is deeply committed to. During the whole month, our passengers will see the signature pink ribbon appear on our screens, on our cups, napkins, and even on the cover of this very magazine. Our Economy Class passengers on long haul flights will receive pink kits with an array of flight essentials, our ground and flight crew will be wearing pink ribbon pins, and yet more surprises are to follow. In addition, EL AL has launched a cooperation with the Israel Cancer Association, whose website will be accessible for free on flights offering Wi-Fi service; and if there’s one message everyone should retain from the monthly initiative, it’s to go get tested!
