Art The YuliArt Festival | Western Galilee

Since its creation 8 years ago, YuliArt has become a major annual event among artists and art lovers. Its 8 th edition, taking place at a time when the Galilee is still recovering from the consequences of the war, will be as always, jam-packed with creative workshops, plays, concerts, family activities, shared meals, and more. Events include: “Art Gallery Saturday”, which will take participants onto a journey across ten incredible art galleries where they’ll discover the art and creative processes of many local artists (free); “Eclectico Akko”, a guided tour ending with a concert of baroque music with the Aura Barocca Ensemble inside a beautiful Akko church, and many more exciting events. Exhibition 20&20 A Lens of Her Own | ANU - Museum of the Jewish People, Tel Aviv

This new exhibition at the ANU Museum of the Jewish People shines a light on twenty groundbreaking Jewish women photographers from the interwar period and twenty contemporary Jewish women photographers, including Israelis, currently active worldwide. The exhibition seeks to provide a contemporary perspective on the narrative of photography’s pioneers and does so by asking each contemporary photographer showcased in the exhibition to choose a pioneer photographer and reflect on the connection between their respective oeuvre and lives. The artistic dialogue engendered, deepens our understanding of both contemporary photography and its roots in the past century. The exhibition also presents footage especially produced for the occasion, that documents the creative processes of each of the contemporary photographers participating in the project. Also on display is an exceptional collection of 1920’s cameras. (Curators: Michal Houminer and Asaf Galay). Until January 2027, anumuseum.org.il
