New luxury hotel in the Kinneret | The Gordonia Golan Beach Hotel, currently under construction on the Sea of Galilee’s Golan Beach, is expected to open in June 2026, offering 150 rooms and suites, divided between a family wing and a couples’ wing. Quality, privacy, and a direct view onto the Kinneret are the elements placed at the forefront of the planning project, in line with the ethos of the Gordonia hotel chain. There’ll also be a spa, a pool, a poolside bar, a beachfront restaurant, a fine-dining restaurant, a “Gordonia living room” for social gatherings, and an events hall. All 13 Tel Aviv beaches re-awarded the prestigious ‘Blue Flag’ for 2025 | The International Blue Flag Committee has officially approved Tel Aviv-Yafo’s application for the coming year, maintaining the Blue Flag status for all 13 declared beaches in the city. The internationally recognized eco-label, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to beaches and marinas that meet and uphold a series of stringent criteria, is reassessed annually to ensure ongoing compliance and excellence. The municipality remains committed to reducing single use plastics at its beaches, implementing awareness campaigns and signage reminding visitors that disposable plastic bags and utensils are banned at bathing beaches. The Blue Flag program is implemented in Israel by EcoOcean, a nonprofit organization composed of scientists and environmentalists.
A third Aluma hotel opens in Athens | Aluma, Isrotel’s international sister company, continues to expand its activity in Athens with the opening of a third location in the city. The Adia Hotel is a five-star establishment located in the heart of the Greek capital’s historic triangle, close to cultural, entertainment and shopping hubs. It offers 218 elegantly designed rooms of various kinds equipped with an espresso machine and a WiFi connection, as well as a gorgeous rooftop pool, with a restaurant and bar overlooking the urban landscape. At ground level, the hotel’s second chef’s restaurant serves rich breakfasts of every style, with taboon-baked delights, morning cocktails, coffee, and more.
The Kishon Bridge Park has opened in Haifa |
Recently inaugurated after extensive construction works led by the Israel Ports Company, Haifa’s new Kishon Bridge Park is located next to the existing park, along the banks of the Kishon river. The new park offers all sorts of play park amenities, well-lit walking paths, and shaded seating areas, as well as a professional cycling pumptrack. There are marble lounger chairs dotted across the park, and a children’s playground with plenty of slides, swings, and climbing walls, as well as shock-absorbing rubber surfaces and other play amenities that encourage physical activity and a connection with nature.
