NOTABLE GRANTS

• Prof. Yigal Meir from the Department of Physics was awarded a prestigious Breakthrough Research Grant (Mapatz) from the Israel Science Foundation. This highly competitive program supports scientists who have made significant contributions to their fields. Prof. Meir is the first BGU researcher to receive this distinguished grant. • Dr. Nir Shlezinger of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering was awarded a 2024 ERC Starting Grant to support his research on integrating artificial intelligence into wireless communication. • Dr. Eran Maniv of the Department of Physics, received an ERC Horizons Grant to support his research into new quantum materials.
