CHAPTER 11: MAINTENANCE

11.1 Introduction This chapter provides information about maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting.

11.2 Units Under Warranty Units requiring repair during thewarranty period should be returned to aTDK Lambda authorized service facility. Refer to the address listings on the back cover of thismanual. Unauthorized repairs performed by other than the authorized service facilities may void the warranty. 11.3 Periodic Maintenance No routine maintenance of the power supply is required except for periodic cleaning. To clean, disconnect the unit fromthe AC supply and allow30sec. for discharging internal voltage. The front panel and themetal surfaces should be cleaned using amild solution of detergent andwater. The solution should be applied onto a soft cloth, and not directly to the surface of the unit. Do not use aromatic hydrocarbons or chlorinated solvents for cleaning. Use low pressure compressed air to blow dust from the unit. 11.4 Adjustments and Calibration No internal adjustment or calibration is required. There is NO REASON to open the power supply cover. 11.5 Parts Replacement and Repairs As repairs are made only by the manufacturer or by authorized service facilities, no parts replacement information is provided in themanual. In case of failure, unusual or erratic operation of the unit, contact the TDK Lambda sales or service facility nearest you. Please refer to the TDK Lambda sales offices address listings on the back cover of this user manual. 11.6 Troubleshooting If thepower supply appears tobeoperating improperly, use the troubleshootingguide todetermine whether the power supply, load or external control circuits are the cause. Configure the power supply for basic front panel operation and perform the tests listed in Section 3.8 to determine whether the problem can be found with the power supply. Table 11-1 provides the basic checks that can be performed to diagnose problems, and references to relevant sections of this manual for further information.
