1.1 User Manual Content This user'smanual contains the operating instructions, installation instructions and specifications of the Z + Series 200W, 400W, 600W and 800W power supply series. The instructions refer to the standard power supplies, including the built-in USB and RS232/485 serial communication. For information related to operation with the optional LAN and IEEE, refer to User Manual for power

supply LAN and IEEE. 1.2 Introduction 1.2.1 General Description

Z + Series power supplies are wide output range, high performance switching power supplies. The Z + Series is power factor corrected and operates fromworldwide AC voltage range continuously. Output voltage and current are continuously displayed and LED indicators show the complete operating status of the power supply. The Front Panel controls allow the user to set the output parameters, theprotection levels (Over-Voltageprotection, Under-VoltageprotectionandFoldback) and preview the settings. The rear panel includes the necessary connectors to control andmonitor the power supply operation by remote analog signals or by the built-in serial communicationUSB and RS232/485.
