by his word, with ruach hakodesh, the Divine spirit that will rest upon him, as it states: “And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier…” The sons of Levi will be purified first. He will say, “This one has the lineage of a Kohen, and that one has the lineage of a Levi.” And reject those who were not deemed of proper lineage as a Kohen or a Levi to become part of the Yisraelim , Jews of the tribes other than Levi. After all, it states: “And the Tirshasa, i.e., the prophet Nechemiah said unto them… ‘Until a Kohen is appointed to wear the Urim and Tumim ,’ the Divine name written inside the Kohen Gadol’s breastplate which was used to seek responses from G-d .” This will occur in the times of Moshiach. From here we learn that it will be through ruach hakodesh that those who have an established status as a Kohen or Levi will be told of their proper lineage, and others informed of their proper lineage. And he will not inform the Jews of their lineage except to tell them to which tribe they belong, inform ing that this one is from such-and-such tribe, and that one is from such-and-such tribe. How ever, he will not say about those who have an established qualified status, “This one is really an illegitimate child, or this one is a servant.” For the rule is that once a family has been incorporated into the Jewish people , it has been incorporated permanently .
