Chassidic dance blue

The color blue represents purity in Judaism. It reminds us of the sky and the sky reminds us of heaven. perhaps this is why Huvi chose to paint this surreal painting of Chassidic men striving for the heavenly in an ecstatic dance, all in blue. the occasion is a happy one, but the dance is all yearning for God.
