(4) Diagnosing a patient with a cancerous tumor was Dr. Gerald Dodd’s greatest achievement, unlike any of his other successes.

11. The explosive growth of the world economy resulted from the development of oil as an energy source.

(1) The widespread use of oil for energy lead to an explosion that affected the world economy. (2) The world economy's growth made possible the development of oil as an energy source. (3) Once oil became available as an energy source, the world economy grew very quickly. (4) The world economy helps in developing many energy sources such as oil.

12. None of those present when the accident occurred recalled seeing anything out of the ordinary beforehand.

(1) All of the witnesses present agreed that this sort of accident was nothing out of the ordinary. (2) Before the accident actually occurred, no one there expected to see anything unusual happen. (3) Although earlier reports suggested that something out of the ordinary was going on, no one present remembered seeing the accident. (4) Everyone who was there when the accident happened said that they observed nothing unusual beforehand.
