Candleroom | Handmade soaps and candles Shabazi Street’s newest addition is artisan soap and candle store Candleroom. Owners Lily and Lior Finkelstein transferred their Jaffa store to Neve Tzedek, after founding their brand in 2013. Candleroom is a local natural fragrance laboratory that makes candles with beeswax, soy wax, and essential oils. The design language is minimalistic and refined, giving center stage to natural, raw materials, like wood and iron, creating an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication. In addition to candles, soaps, and essentials oils, you can also find beautiful linen aprons and towels here, as well as ceramic
candle burners, candlesticks, and more. candleroomshop.com, @candleroom

Petit Pois | French-inspired Israeli fashion Local fashion brand Petit Pois was founded in 2015 by designer Shirley Lasry, graduate of the Shenkar Fashion Design Department and winner of a Mifal HaPais scholarship for promising young designers. Her designs exude Parisian chic and femininity, and her delicate designs seem so at home in beautiful Neve Tzedek. Lasry’s material of choice is silk, initially focusing on lingerie design. Today, Petit Pois offers a wide range of items ranging from hair accessories to lingerie, to elegant silk and lace evening dresses. Everything is handmade in small series at the brand’s workshop. petitpoistudio.co.il @petitpoistudio
Sipur Pashut | An independent bookstore like no other Roni Schwartz Kramer’s dream of opening a neighborhood bookstore in Neve Tzedek finally came true in 2003 when she met Mira Reshti, with whom she has been managing the store ever since. Named “Sipur Pashut” after the book by S.Y. Agnon who lived and worked in this neighborhood, the store was founded with the aim to be a veritable platform for writers and creators and allow readers and writers to meet and exchange. The store has survived moments of great difficulty and competition with the big retail chains, but its magic lies in its extraordinary selection of books both in Hebrew and in English, and the many literary and cultural gatherings held throughout the year, as well as writing workshops, reading evenings, and book launches. It is also the official home of the Granta magazine for local and international literature. @sipurpashut
