EL AL has been awarded the highest ranking in the 2026 Maala ESG Index: Platinum Plus, Category A

This important recognition reflects EL AL’s ongoing commitment to embedding ESG principles across every aspect of its business activity. The Maala ESG Index is Israel’s leading benchmark for corporate responsibility, evaluating companies on their performance across environmental, social and corporate governance criteria. In 2026, more than 150 companies took part in the ranking, together representing over 570,000 employees and approximately 10% of Israel’s GDP. Receiving the “Platinum Plus Category A” rating places EL AL among Israel’s leading companies in the field of ESG, and recognizes the company’s consistent efforts to integrate sustainability, ethical corporate governance, employee wellbeing, community engagement and environmental responsibility into its business strategy. The company was also awarded four Diversity Stars in recognition for its commitment to workforce diversity, as well as the Reserve Duty Seal, honoring EL AL as an organization that supports its reservist employees and their families. Over the past year, approximately 17% of EL AL’s employees, across both aircrew and ground staff, served in reserve duty. As part of the company’s welfare initiatives, EL AL provided dedicated

support and a range of tools for reservists returning from extended service. These efforts included a special tribute and appreciation event for reservists and their partners, as well as meaningful holiday gifts for their families during the Jewish holidays.

Connecting People, Communities, and Israel

The partnership between EL AL and Birthright Israel reflects the unique bond between Israel and Jewish communities around the world. While Birthright creates meaningful connections between young adults, the State of Israel, and Israeli society, EL AL continues to serve as an air bridge connecting people, communities, and cultures across the globe. In recent months, this partnership has been strengthened via two joint initiatives: ahead of Rosh Hashanah, members of the EL AL Global Sales Division volunteered alongside Birthright participants from Israel and abroad to pack food baskets for families in need. In addition, EL AL took part in the annual Birthright summer event which gave participants the chance to try out a unique AI-powered photo booth that creates personalized memorabilia featuring iconic Israeli landscapes and EL AL aircraft.
