Reopening of the Rosh Hanikra cable car | The Rosh Hanikra tourism board has announced the reopening of its shoreline cable car after more than two years of closure due to the security situation in the north. Although the site itself has been open for about six months, the cable car has only recently got back to taking visitors down to see the shoreline grottoes along the steep cliffs. The tourism board invites visitors to come and enjoy special day trips that include culinary and cultural experiences, accommodation options, and more.

From the sea to the Jordan – the first segments of the Kishon River trail have been inaugurated The KKL-JNF, together with the Kishon Drainage Authority and the South Jordan Drainage and Streams Authority, have recently inaugurated the first segments of the transformative “From the Sea to the Jordan” Kishon River Trail. These are the first sections of an 90km corridor that aims to restore the infrastructure along the banks of the Jordan River, adding new walking and cycling trails, as well as points of interest that include natural spring pools, the planting of stream vegetation, and more. This recent inauguration marks a major step in the completion of this bold and visionary project.

The hotel hosts children from the age of 10 and up, and from all ages on Jewish holidays: Rosh Hashanah, Passover, Sukkot, and Shavuot. And just like the Ma’ale Hachamisha Gordonia, the Zichron Yaakov location also has a “Gordonia Lounge”, where drinks and snacks are served in the afternoon. The hotel has a restaurant, two conference halls, and a synagogue at lobby level. The communal area features the largest infinity pool in Israel, a luxurious two-story spa with seven treatment rooms for one, four treatment rooms for couples, a Watsu pool, a jet pool, a hammam, a dry sauna, a wet sauna, a rain waterfall, and more. “We design our hotels with great respect for the surrounding environment, its culture, topography, and history, and we look forward to expanding activities across the country, in the coming years”, says Gadi Priver, CEO of the Gordonia Hotel chain.
