Traklin | a lovely little bistro café This new café in the Almogim neighborhood, close to the city center but tucked away from the hustle and bustle, is a relaxed bistro café where you can while away the hours with a coffee and a pastry, or a warm hearty homemade dish. In an inviting dining space and a spacious green outdoor terrace facing the street, rich and colorful breakfasts are served with eggs anyway you want them, fresh cheeses, salads, breads, and dips, shakshuka with homemade hot pepper sauce, sandwiches, and pastries of every kind, generous pasta dishes, fish dishes, and more. The drinks’ menu includes fresh juices, hot and cold drinks, matcha with strawberry jam - an Eilati version well-worth a try – and on the weekends, there are lovely little farmers’ market fairs, and vintage clothes’ fairs. @traklin.eilat

Rechter | a cozy and elegant wine bar Yuval Ziv, owner of beloved Eilat bakery Broitman Bread, that recently opened a new location next to the old control tower, opposite the area that once housed the airport and on which the Terminal Park is now built, is by no means resting on his laurels, venturing out with a new little wine bar, Rechter. Named like the mall it is located in, its wine selection is truly dazzling, with wines from Israel and around the world, from France, Italy and Spain, to Austria, Greece and South Africa. The wine is served alongside Broitman bakery quiches, artisan cheeses with seasonal fruits and quince marmalade, delicious bruschettas, roasted vegetables, and more. The atmosphere at Rechter is warm and cozy, and if you came across a place like this in a little Paris or Rome alleyway, you’d think this was exactly what you were looking for – and now you can find it in the heart of Eilat. @rechterwinebar

BBA | a colorful burger joint

BBA, short for “Buns by Almog”, is an unconventional burger joint in Neighborhood A, the oldest in Eilat. Here, in a small space on a quiet street, Almog Levy serves meticulously crafted burgers and American diner delicacies, all while still doing reserve service in the war effort. Juicy beef burgers in crispy sealed buns, chicken burgers, crunchy schnitzel, and classic hamburgers are served aside homemade sauces that add tangy sourness, spiciness, and fresh flavors to every bite, as well as perfectly seasoned waffle fries, golden onion rings, dips, and side dishes - just what you
