06 Family fun Strawberry picking at Uri’s Uri’s Strawberry Farm I Photo: Galit Petkin Strawberry Farm, Moshav Yesha The Patkin family’s strawberry farm uses the most cutting-edge technologies to grow rows and rows of plump, bright red strawberries of the juiciest kind, inviting you to reach out and pick as many as you want. Indeed, self-picking season is in full swing here, and it will be until next May. Before visitors start picking the fruit, they are treated to a short presentation about the family story

of how the farm was established in 1965, and about the intricacies of growing produce in a semi-arid climate. uritutim.co.il 07 Food Festival The Inbal Hotel Soup Festival, Jerusalem The Inbal Hotel’s annual all-you can-eat Soup Festival is back with a delicious (dairy kosher) array of soups to warm you, body and soul, with classics such as mushroom

If you’re in the mood for a bit of ice skating, then the Ice Peaks Ice Arena in Holon (or in Be’er Sheva) is the place to go. After two rounds round the rink, you’ll soon feel the need to peel off the layers of clothing you might have arrived with, perhaps also due to the adrenaline rush it is impossible not to feel when attempting to ice-skate. A fun day out for the whole family (for kids from the age of three), even for first-timers. When you get tired, you can sit and watch the professional skaters practice, or have a coffee and a bite to eat. icepeaks.co.il
