How did you start working at EL AL? “As the son of a combat pilot I grew up loving the world of aviation. After completing an accountant internship, a friend sent me an ad for an accountant job at EL AL – it was the perfect match for me”. What does your position entail? “As deputy head of fleet management, together with my team, we are responsible for managing EL AL’s aircraft and engines which involves defining procurement strategies, negotiating with manufacturers and international leasing companies, and accompanying the entire process of aircraft acquisition, from selection stage to entry into service in the fleet”. What do you love about your job?

“Knowing that the decisions I make today will have an impact on the company throughout the next decade. My job combines strategic thinking, financial analysis, and commercial creativity, and quite a lot of responsibility". Which part of your job do you find most challenging? “With every deal we make, sometimes involving hundreds of millions of dollars, there are many variables to consider. Decisions need to be made under conditions of uncertainty and that can be challenging”. What do you always pack in your suitcase? “A portable charger". Which EL AL destination do you most enjoy flying to and why? “Madrid. I’ve

completely fallen in love with it. The people are warm and friendly, and the food is amazing”. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? “I play volleyball, fly model airplanes with my dad and kids, travel with my family, in Israel and abroad”. What would you be doing now, had you not joined EL AL? “I’ve always been interested in the world of therapy so maybe I’d be a physiotherapist or some other type of therapist”.
