Maimon’s Place, Jerusalem A group of Jerusalem restaurateurs have opened their new Italian cuisine-inspired eatery. Among them is Kobi Peretz, a chef with years of experience as a cooking teacher and food guide. Peretz has created a strictly kosher menu that includes many classics of the Italian table, as well as from cuisines from across the Mediterranean and the Middle East. Dishes include eggplant parmigiana, burrata salad, cacio e pepe pasta, as well as haloumi salad, pizza, polenta tortellini with Jerusalem artichoke cream, and more. Capri, Ramat Hasharon Ramat Hasharon’s gigantic open-air mall, BIG Fashion Glilot, is as big as it is on food than on fashion. Indeed, its food court includes dozens and dozens of food stalls offering food of every kind, from fast food to gourmet delights. Capri, which belongs to the same group behind Pomo, Bar Italia, and Café Napo, is one of the latter. Its designer décor with custom-made lighting fixtures hints at the attention to detail and quality at play here. Chef Shahar Barnea has crafted a rich and diverse menu that celebrates Italian cuisine with a selection of pasta dishes, meat and fish dishes, entrées and main courses, including arancini, lemon and pistachio fettucine, pizzas made according to the strictest Italian tradition, chicken escalope, and more.
