Dripping glass light fixtures Designer: Elia Bloch Bezalel graduate Elia Bloch’s series of glass light fixtures was inspired by the movement of glass dripping downwards to the ground. Bloch is drawn to a type of glass that isn’t perfectly shaped, a glass that evokes distortions and the formation of unexpected contortions, formed as much by her than by gravity itself. Her lamps are intended as objects to be placed around the home, on top of a pile of books or on a shelf, and let the downward movement of their structure interact with the environment. In her work, Bloch uses various glass techniques, including glass blowing, sandblowing, casting, fusion, and more. @elia_bloch

Raw gemstone light fixtures Designer: Jonathan Chechick

Designer Jonathan Chechick founded his brand “C’s” after graduating from Shenkar College and the Politecnico di Milano. Through a constant search for balance and equilibrium, his work seeks to evoke the sense of peace and tranquility one finds in the middle of nature, while preserving and sublimating the natural beauty of raw materials. At this year’s Freshpaint fair, Chechick will be presenting a series of sculptures entitled “Raw and Refined”, made of raw gemstones, each one handpicked with infinite care and intentionality, as well as other materials such as cables, etc. Each piece is a unique creation, made to strike the perfect balance between the gemstones and the other materials, and allow the sunlight to highlight their qualities and textures as it hits the gemstones and crystals. @cs_cuffs cscuffs.com Shenkar College graduate Guy Megides is a textile designer and illustrator, founder of her own print design brand. She also develops textiles made of recycled fabrics and cofounded Kipkop Studio with artist Tamar Yogev. At this year’s Freshpaint fair, Megides will be presenting a collection entitled Vivid and comprised of textile items for the home, children’s rooms in particular, made of transparent fabric with original, colorful print designs of her creation.
