Another codeshare agreement for EL AL: the airline has signed an agreement with Romania’s national airline, TAROM

As part of EL AL’s strategic plan for the coming years, which includes expanding the company’s fleet, EL AL is working to extend its route network from Tel Aviv through partnerships, alongside increasing flight frequencies to popular destinations. its commitment to meeting the highest sustainability standards in the aviation industry. Its goal is to upgrade and optimize fuel consumption reduction processes and improve its environmental performance, also in line with new international regulations expected to come into effect in the coming years. The company intends to continue investing in efforts to promote a greener aviation future, focusing on developing technological and innovative initiatives to improve environmental performance and contribute to environmental preservation.

EL AL has signed a codeshare agreement with Romania’s national airline, TAROM. As part of the agreement, EL AL’s flight code (LY) will be added to flights operated by TAROM from Tel Aviv to Bucharest, resulting in a total of 18 weekly flights operated by both airlines offering more options for EL AL customers. Additionally, members of EL AL’s Matmid Frequent Flyer Program, as well as new members, will be able to The IEnvA (IATA Environmental Assessment) certification is an international program by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to evaluate airlines’ commitment to improving their environmental performance and sustainability. With this certification, EL AL joins a lineup of international airlines, including British Airways, Air Canada, and others, that have already joined this program. The certification awarded to EL AL signifies the company’s commitment to continuous improvement in environmental performance and sustainability, in accordance with
