Dao | Ko Pha-ngan, Thailand Chef Nir Mesika grew up in Israel to an Egyptian-Moroccan family where food was central. After conquering great feats in New York, including earning a spot on the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand list with his eatery Zizi Limona, and opening the East-Village fine-dining restaurant Timna, he opened a second Timna in Tel Aviv in 2019 - to even greater success. When the war broke out in Israel in 2023, Mesika had just landed with his family on the Thai island of Koh Pha-ngan to start a new chapter in their lives.
