As every bibelot collector will tell you, collecting little earthenware figurines can be an addictive activity. Israeli brand monc., led by designer Mey Oren, creates beautiful little ceramic figures in two principal collections, namely Collecto, and Purco. Collecto for its part is a series of unique, original creations by leading artists and illustrators, while Purco is a DIY collection with “design-it-yourself” kits that comprise a white, blank, ceramic figurine and a set of tattoos to cut out and apply on the figure according to taste and fancy. The figurines can then be baked in the oven to ensure the tattoos stay affixed for all eternity. moncdesign.com monc.design.ltd

There’s nothing quite like enjoying your morning coffee in a beautifully crafted ceramic cup. Designer David Seth’s brand ODAKA specializes in handcrafted ceramic kitchenware shaped and designed in clean, minimalist lines. The brand’s name evokes the Hebrew word pair “od daka”, or “one more minute” in English, and has become a favorite among design-conscious cafés and hotels.
