Flying to the Euro league with the flag: EL AL and Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club have signed a commercial cooperation agreement for 2025

EL AL and Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club have signed a commercial cooperation agreement for 2025, under which EL AL will be the official carrier of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv for its games in Europe, with an emphasis on home games held in Belgrade, Serbia, due to the current situation. The signing ceremony took place at the National Sports Center in Hadar Yosef, Tel Aviv, with the participation of EL AL CEO Dina Ben Tal-Ganancia, Sundor CEO Gal Gershon, Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club Chairman Shimon Mizrahi, Club CEO Modi Peled, Team Coach Oded Kattash, Maccabi legend and current VP of Marketing and Sales Doron Jamchi, and team players. This cooperation between EL AL and Maccabi Tel Aviv Basketball Club is a long-standing one, based on The agreement includes a codeshare on Azerbaijan Airlines flights from Tel Aviv, which operate twice daily from Tel Aviv to Baku. Tickets for flights under this cooperation are available for purchase on both companies’ websites or through travel agents. As part of the cooperation, customers of both companies will be able to fly on flights operated by EL AL and Azerbaijan Airlines under a shared code. EL AL’s code (LY) will be added to flights operated by Azerbaijan Airlines from Tel Aviv to Baku and in the future to their connecting flights. EL AL’s frequent flyer members will be able to earn points on flights to Baku.

EL AL signs codeshare agreement with Azerbaijan Airlines

The cooperation with Azerbaijan Airlines joins other collaborations EL AL has signed over the past year, including a partnership with Delta Air Lines, which includes codeshare flights through various routes to North America, including connecting flights to various destinations in the Americas and mutual benefits for frequent flyer program members; a codeshare agreement with Air France allowing codeshare flights on the Tel Aviv Paris route, a codeshare agreement with KLM allowing codeshare flights on the Tel Aviv-Amsterdam route, in addition to a frequent flyer program agreement with the Flying Blue loyalty program shared by KLM

and Air France, providing mutual benefits for program members. Additionally, a cooperation agreement was signed with Virgin Atlantic, including codeshare flights on the Tel Aviv-London route and mutual benefits for frequent flyer program members.
