How did you start working at EL AL? “I was a professional soccer player until the age of 33. When I stopped, my dad, who worked for EL AL for 47 years, got me into the company”. What does your position entail? “My job is to provide support to our customs agents around the world and to all international EL AL stations in all matters regarding cargo and packages headed to Israel. We also work in collaboration with the Ministries of Agriculture and Health, with Customs, and any other body that plays a role in importing cargo into the country”. What do you most love about your job? “I love how dynamic it is, and how challenging it is. I love finding solutions for our customers, even in tough situations such as in cases of body repatriation, or

when pets need to be reunited with their owners. Each day brings a new challenge that needs to be overcome”. Which part of your job do you find most challenging? “The need to work with several bodies simultaneously in order to provide the fastest service possible, when in reality each one is located in different parts of the world. Our aim is to find solutions in the least amount of time and to the maximum satisfaction of our customers. Even when it’s just before closing time, or when a case is extremely complex”. What do you always pack with you? “A picture of my wife and kids”. Which EL AL destination do you most enjoy flying to and why? “Athens, because of the music and the people who remind me of my

grandfather and of my childhood. And London because of the soccer and the special atmosphere around Christmastime. I love exploring the city and discovering new places”. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? “I play soccer and basketball, spend time with friends and family, go on bike rides, and basically I just try and enjoy life as much as I can”. What would you be doing now, had you not joined EL AL? “I’d be a soccer coach”.
