Performing Arts | Malevo Across the country

A colorful, optimistic exhibition that explores the world of Israeli design, focusing on the role played by color in facilitating our understanding of reality and our capacity to categorize it. More than 30 Israeli designers working in a range of disciplines were invited to explore the notion of color. Some of the works on show envisage color as matter and look at how it comes into being by means of both contemporary and traditional technologies. Others explore color trends and the historical and cultural reasons for choosing a certain color to represent a particular idea. The exhibition includes an interactive space for kids where they can explore the relations between color and the worlds of fauna and flora. (Curators: Yuval

Exhibition | Maskit 10/30/70 MUZA, Eretz Israel, Museum, Tel Aviv

Maskit 10/30/70 tells the story of iconic Israeli fashion brand Maskit across 70 years, from its establishment in 1954 as part of a government company, its growth into a series of boutiques throughout the country in the second half of the 20 th century, which ended with its closure in 1994, to its revival by fashion designer Sharon Tal, as a privately owned haute couture brand in 2014. Central to the exhibition are the building blocks of the Maskit wardrobe – iconic items such as the “Desert Coat”, “Ein Gedi Dress”, and “Kinneret Shirt”. The exhibition also includes unique textiles, carpets and jewelry characterized by groundbreaking designs, alongside documents, photographs, and rare archival footage. (Curator: Shachar Atwan).
