EL AL is proud to be the team’s official carrier and wishes all Israeli athletes great success - their participation is a source of immense pride for the entire nation. Moshe Mutz Matalon, Israel Paralympic Committee chairman: “I would like to thank EL AL for the exceptional media campaign it launched last month, ahead of the Paris 2024 Games. It’s a campaign of historic proportions, a testament to the decades-long cooperation between us, the Israel Paralympic Committee, and the airline which through this campaign shows how much Paralympic sports means to it, placing it center-stage, and at the forefront of public agenda. In fact, I’d like to thank all our sponsors – without them it wouldn’t have been possible to form the incredible delegation that we have, composed as it is, of representatives of every part of Israeli society: men and women, people of every ethnicity and religion. I am convinced that we shall reap the fruits of all this support in Paris, when the Israeli flag will be raised on the podium to the sound of our national anthem”. For over 14 years, EL AL has been supporting the Tzefa Battalion of the Paratroopers Brigade through the “Adopt a Soldier” project led by the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel’s Soldiers. Beyond financial contributions, the deep connection between EL AL and the battalion’s soldiers and commanders is reflected in a variety of joint initiatives and activities, including sports days, discharge conferences, the recognition of outstanding soldiers, the assistance of soldiers in need, and most importantly, the assurance of a steadfast fraternal embrace full of gratitude, appreciation and respect for their efforts and sacrifice. As part of our support, we were honored to participate in the ceremony organized for the new battalion commander, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the outgoing battalion commander, Lt. Col. Rotem Almog, who led the battalion for two years, including eight months of intense combat. His practical and value-driven leadership has left a lasting impression. We wish him great success in his new role as the commander of the Duvdevan Unit. We warmly welcome the incoming battalion commander, Lt. Col. Yonatan Schneider, as he takes on this role during one of the most challenging times in Israel’s history. We will continue to support the commanders and soldiers of the Tzefa Battalion, providing them with encouragement and assistance in all that they need.
