The Paris Paralympic Games will open at the end of the month. On our cover you’ll have already met three Israeli athletes, members of the Israel Paralympic Delegation: Amir Levi (badminton), Amit Hasdai (hand cycling), and Lihi Ben David (goalball). Every Paralympian carries a story fortitude and recovery following a life-changing injury, and each one is an example of true grit and determination. This year, the Games are being held as the war still rages, and the Israeli delegation will be mustering all that willpower to represent the nation with pride and resolve in the face of the booing and violence expressed against Israel whenever an Israeli is representing his country abroad. To mark its support to the Paralympian delegation, of which it is the official carrier, EL AL launched an incredible media campaign last month to inspire people to come and be part of its “Spirit Team” – a delegation of citizen

cheerleaders the airline is flying to Paris to support the Israeli athletes at the competition events. You can read about Levi, Hasdai, and Ben David, as well as about other members of the delegation on page 24. For those of you on their way to a summer vacation in Israel, we’ve got you covered with the lowdown on what to see and do in Tel Aviv, the city that never ceases to surprise and renew itself.
