Oliphant wine bar | Coffee shop and deli by day, wine bar by night Helmed by Chef Dudi Kedem who used to work for Ruti Broudo and her hospitality group R2M, and Yuval Kwintner, this wine bar and deli is located in Haifa’s Moriah neighborhood. During the day, Oliphant functions as a coffee shop and deli, selling top-notch sandwiches, croissants French toast, and elegant baked goods. In the evening, lights are dimmed, bottles are popped, and it transforms into a neighborhood wine bar. The evening menu is a sophisticated dance of delicate hors d’oeuvres, and vegetable and surf & turf mains. Wine and cheeses made by both Israeli and international producers can be purchased on-site. Kona | Between casual & fine dining The Breada bakery is a veritable institution in Haifa. People flock over here every morning to enjoy the cornucopia of baked delights that bejewel the window shelves. For a while, the bakery premises had been serving as the stage of a brand-new restaurant open only in the evenings, to great success, so much so that the restaurant has expanded. It is now located right next-door to the bakery and has its own name: Kona. Kona is a bistro type eatery, somewhere between casual and fine dining, a
place you can stop by to take in the atmosphere and eat a simple but top-quality meal. The menu is composed of both permanent and changing dishes, such as fish tartar on a bed of croissant wedges with hazelnut oil and Japanese mayo, premium beef burger in a pumpkin brioche bun, or handmade pasta, and classic salads. On Fridays and Saturdays, lunch is served to the sound of a live DJ set, and wine and cocktails abundantly flow aside a brunch menu that focuses on egg-based dishes. Hanamal 10, @kona_haifa
