What led you to join EL AL? “I became interested in planes at a very young age. My father served in the Israeli Air Force, and later, worked in the aerospace industry. So my path was all set: I too served in the IAF as an engine technician and after military service immediately began working for EL AL as an interior structure technician”. What does your position entail? “My job consists in making sure all the components needed for the smooth functioning of the plane are always readily available. I make sure issues are dealt with on time so that no delays occur, and that maintenance is performed by the book, and according to the highest standards, ensuring the safety of both technicians and planes. I also supervise the smooth-running of

our workshops that are staffed by over 100 employees”. What do you most love about your job? “I love that there’s always something interesting going on. There’s nothing like looking at a plane take off on time after you fixed it”. Which part of your job do you find most challenging? “The biggest challenge is ensuring everything gets done to the highest standard and on time”. What do you always pack with you? “A small copy of the Book of Psalms, the text of the Traveler’s Prayer for the flight, and an AirTag”. Which EL AL destination do you most enjoy flying to and why? “My favorite destination is the US. The landscapes are beautiful and there

are fantastic attractions”. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? “I enjoy going sailing on sonar sailboats with my son Ziv with the Etgarim association. I also love hosting dinners for my friends and family, traveling, and just spending time with my family”. What would you be doing now, had you not joined EL AL? “I’d probably own a restaurant or be a tour guide oversees”.

Attraction | Hyannis whale watcher cruises, in Cape Cod. An incredible whale watching experience aboard an impressive boat.

Hotel | The Glam, in Rome. A lovely, clean, boutique hotel located a stone’s throw from all the main attractions. The staff are great, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Restaurant | La Jacobine, in Paris. It’s a small restaurant in a historical alleyway with traditional French food and fantastic desserts.
