On your way to your destination? Here are three binge-worthy tv shows available on our entertainment system that’ll make time happily fly by

Mom - season 7 If you liked “Two and a half men”, you’re going to love “Mom”. This family sitcom follows Christy (Anna Faris), single mother who, after battling alcoholism and drug abuse, decides to restart her life in Napa, California, working as a waitress and attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Her mother, Bonnie, (Allison Janney) is also a recovering addict. Christy eventually returns to school and pursues her dream of becoming a lawyer, while Bonnie develops a romantic relationship with a retired stuntman whom she eventually marries. Through it all, Christy and Bonnie rely on their support system from AA. The chemistry between Faris and Janney is a joy to watch, and the dialogues are priceless. “Mom” is a fun, provocative piece of television that covers difficult subjects in a light, heartwarming, comedic tone.

The Closer – season 7 If you’re a fan of “Law & Order”, this is the show for you. “The Closer” is one the best American tv crime dramas on our entertainment system. Kyra Sedgwick plays an LA police department deputy chief who time and again proves that women (as always) are better at solving cases and extracting information from crime lords. Though her all-male team doesn’t always see eye to eye with her, she continuously manages to expertly solve her cases, being smarter and more insightful than everybody else. Sedgwyck’s brilliance is truly what makes this show so great to watch. Make sure you give it a chance – you won’t regret it.

The Middle – season 8 I started watching this now relatively old show without too many expectations, but became rapidly hooked. It follows the daily life of a lower middle-class American family in Indiana, and it is as amusing as it thoughtful. The cast are all fantastic and if like me you weren’t a fan of Patricia Heaton in “Everybody loves Raymond” because you found her character annoying, in “The Middle”, she’s warm and sweet and easy to get attached to. Or maybe, like me, you’ll adore Eden Sher, authentic and charming in her depiction of the teenage daughter. Sure, this may not be the pinnacle of television, but it definitely makes for a great airplane binge.
