On your way to your destination? Here are three ideas for what to watch or listen to on our inflight entertainment system that’ll soothe the senses, widen horizons, and perhaps even get you inspired
Full Trunk – Mizrachi-style blues It’s impossible to listen to a Full Trunk album and not immediately want to see them play live. Band members Gil Nisman, Yotam Elazari, Ofer Weiner, and Ariel Keshet shot to fame with their song “Stalbet ba kibbutz” and their music has kept getting better and better ever since. Their latest album, to which you can listen to on our entertainment system, is a masterful expression of their exeptional brand of Mizrachi style blues. Some of the bandmates are former IDF soldiers and some of their songs often speak of the scars military service can leave inside you, the trauma of losing friends, and the tendency to suppress the trauma. Give the album a listen – every song on it is a banger (my favorite is “kadima le’oto makom”), and you’re guaranteed a half hour of musical delight. Eden Hasson live at the Menora Theatre Hasson is one of Israel’s most successful singers. His Menora Theatre live show is a super production jampacked with all his top hits, dozens of dancers performing with him on stage, 3D stage lighting, pyrotechnics, and Coldplay-style fluorescent bracelets. Hasson intersperses the music with fun banter with the audience, and the overall effect is totally charming. The show was recorded with exceptional quality of sound, and so beautifully shot, it almost feels like the real thing, as if you were experiencing it all live. To watch: Television > Music > Eden Hasson live at the Menora Theatre
