Introducing our Diamonds Our shiny new currency for calculating status eligibility. You can now keep your points exclusively for redemption towards your next flight, while the Diamonds you earn will advance you to the next status quickly and easily. Easier to earn points and Diamonds Besides earning Diamonds and points from flights and FLY CARD purchases*, now for the first time you can earn Diamonds and points for purchases of extra baggage, SPACE seats and upgrades, making the road to an award ticket and elite status shorter.

Easier to retain your points Each point earned in the new program will be valid for 18 months, and will automatically be extended for an additional 18-month period whenever club members earn at least one point for a flight or make purchases of at least NIS 5,000 per month using their FLY CARD during this time period. Easier to redeem Purchasing an award ticket? We’ve introduced a new, flexible price list for award tickets, and have canceled the additional cash surcharge. As of September 1st, you can purchase an award ticket with only the points you’ve earned, and an additional cash payment for the tax component only.

Easier to advance between elite statuses We’ve improved the threshold for advancement between statuses, so that all Club members can achieve a higher status more quickly, and enjoy other benefits such as lounge entry, preferred-seat selection at no cost, and more Easier to upgrade Your flight upgrade has never been easier. From now on, all Club members are entitled to register for an upgrade, with one click online, from all booking classes and at varying prices.

*Diamonds can be earned for purchases with FLY CARD PREMIUM credit cards only, limited to up to 12,000 Diamonds for purchases made in the last 12 months. Subject to the new program’s information and terms as specified on the EL AL website. The current program’s terms will be in effect until 08/31/2023.
