This month, EL AL is proud and delighted to announce the launch of its collaboration with the Israeli television channel Kan 11. A selection of the channel's best tv shows is already available on our in-flight entertainment system. Here are three of our top recommendations

| Tehran In 2021, this Israeli spy thriller

| Checkout This show has become an Israeli tv classic, gaining a veritable cult following along the years. All first three seasons are available on our entertainment system, with the fourth shortly to come. The show takes place in a branch of the fictional Israeli supermarket “Shefa Isaschar” and follows the routine interactions between the store’s workers and customers. It’s impossible not to fall in love with the show’s Larry David-esque characters, brought to the screen by Israel’s finest comedians, notably Keren Mor as Kochava the cashier with a short fuse and Dov Navon as Amnon Titinsky, the stingy customer who buys deal products only. The show’s mockumentary-style format is executed to perfection and seems to get better with every season – an absolute must-watch! | The tree-house kids And something for the kids as well: this popular series has won twelve Israeli Academy of Film and Television Awards. It tells the story of a group of kids who meet up every day and go on wild adventures together. Each episode includes guest appearances of Israeli actors who perform a song linked in some way to that episode’s storyline. This show is one of those rarest of commodities – a kids’ tv show that even the parents enjoy.

received the Emmy Award for best drama series. It tells the story of an Israeli Mossad agent on a secret mission in Tehran, to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. The show is so expertly crafted, you’re left wondering whether what you’re seeing on the screen is indeed fact or fiction. The actors are all top-notch - and watch out for Glenn Close’s star performance in season 2. Highly engrossing, you won’t be able to leave your seat until you binge-watch the entire two seasons.
