From the Chef

Hey, this is Chef Assaf Granit. Just like every one of you sitting onboard the aircraft, I am also an EL AL customer and have been flying with the company for years, to dozens of destinations around the world. To be chosen as EL AL’s head chef is almost as exciting as opening a new restaurant. I was thrilled when I launched “Coal Office” in London and “Berta” in Berlin and also when I got my Michelin star for the “Shabour” restaurant in Paris. On every flight with EL AL, I felt at home away from home. Now I am very excited to bring a taste of home all the way to your food trays, to bring the Jerusalem “Machneyuda” DNA to EL AL passengers, both domestically and internationally, and to create a bridge between Jerusalem and cities such as Paris, New York, London, Los Angeles and even Tokyo. Over the upcoming months I plan to study the field with an aim to give you a new culinary experience directly to your aircraft seats. I am very proud to be the new EL AL chef. Can’t wait for you to taste what we have in store, there is much to look forward to... Have a pleasant and delicious flight, Assaf Granit.

Relaunching non-stop flight service to India, specifically to Delhi and Mumbai, starting October 2023

After a 3-year break, EL AL renews non-stop flights to two destinations in India: Delhi and Mumbai, starting late October 2023. Launching the new flight routes was made possible due to the recent signing of the overfly agreement with Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Israeli airlines. This agreement will result in shortening the duration of the

flight to Mumbai from 7.45 hours to only 5.5 hours and shorten the duration of flights to Delhi from 9 hours to only 6.5 hours. Ticket sales start in April 2023. EL AL will be the only airline offering non-stop flights from Israel to the two destinations and to dozens of other destinations beyond them, in cooperation with local airlines. the approval from Oman enabled the company to shorten flight routes to the Far East, open new routes to Australia, and even relaunch flights to India. EL AL is proud to be the first company to connect Israel to the East by flying over the Arabian Peninsula and to carry the Israeli flag on its aircraft tail over these countries’ skies. This is an achievement of the utmost importance that allows us to give our customers an improved flight experience and the best service possible.

EL AL is thrilled to announce the formal overfly agreement approval by the Omani airport authority

EL AL is proud to be the first Israeli airline to fly over Omani and Saudi skies and to take such a meaningful part in the making of Israeli history. The first flights are the routes from Tel Aviv to Bangkok with a shortened flight duration of 8 hours. Receiving
