Influenced by pop art, artist Keren Shpilsher’s work combines social criticism and colorful creativity. In her “Yellow Energy Bomb” series, Shpilsher takes old Renaissance portraits and covers them with jewelry and fruit designs patterns, reminiscent of the ones found on luxury foulards. Her work celebrates the unique specificities of glass, playing with transparency and opaqueness, light and color, to celebrate and shine a spotlight on everyday items that can often get taken for granted. Lamdan turns staple produce, vegetables of every kind, into glass designs that can both serve as a vase or a receptacle or be placed on a shelf and admired as a beautiful still life sculpture. Hand-painted bowl with lettuce design Nu Essentials

After three decades as a food stylist, working with dozens of artists and designers, Nurit Kariv set off to found her own brand of homeware and deco objects, in collaboration with other local artisans, such as glass designers, ceramicists, graphic and industrial designers. Everything is handmade and each object is a one of-a-kind piece of craftsmanship that reflects Kariv’s sense of aesthetics. Her bowls painted with lettuce designs were created in collaboration with ceramicist Lior Shahar, owner of the 1220 brand, each bowl painstakingly hand painted by Kariv herself.
