EL AL volunteering endeavors and donation efforts

Small Change – Big Dreams: Raising donations on EL AL flights with Bank HaPoalim. EL AL passengers donated their “small change” which was then transferred to Adi, an association that empowers the most vulnerable members of society. Adopt a Soldier: For over a decade EL AL has been participating in the “Adopt a Combat Battalion” program that supports lone soldiers. Ambassadors for the Jewish Community Worldwide: As an international company whose employees are deployed around the world, EL AL recognizes the importance of empowering the Jewish community around the world. This project is about empowering air crews, pilots and flight attendants, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JAFI and “Stand With Us”, to participate in educational efforts relating to Israel. A Different Lesson (Shiur Acher): This association promotes equal opportunities for children of the socio-geographical periphery in Israel by integrating volunteers from the employment world in schools. The “Lesson Together” initiative involves EL AL pilots volunteering as teaching

assistants to help kids with their mathematics, science, Hebrew and English homework. Israel Guide Dog Center: A center for improving the quality of life of the blind in Israel, using guide dogs and providing safe mobility, independence, and self-confidence. EL AL employees help with the center’s ongoing maintenance, and the company helps fly guide dogs to Israel and tandem bikes to competitions around the world. The Foundation for the Welfare of Holocaust Victims - “Adopt a Survivor” Project: EL AL employees volunteer to help combat loneliness amongst Holocaust survivors, hosting them at the company campus, and/or visiting them in their own homes, helping them repair broken appliances or cook something warm to eat. Tlalim Journey: Young Jewish academics are invited to Israel for several months to experience life in Israel and promote their affinity to Judaism and their bond with the country. The interns get to experience various positions in the many EL AL departments, and are personally and professionally
