6 Plates Ayelet Bar – from kindergarten manager to party box designer Ayelet Bar spent two decades managing her own private kindergarten, before closing it four years ago and going into the world of events party planning and guest experience design. She studied events planning and design at Shenkar College and founded her brand, 6 Plates, that’s all about her passion for hosting and her love of partyware. She designs tablecloths, runners, placemats, etc., and her creations are made of natural materials. They all have the distinctive style that characterizes all of her creations. Frill Furniture Gila Babich – journalist turned furniture designer and woodworker Gila Babich spent years as a journalist and editor before deciding her true passion lay in furniture design and woodwork. She went to a vocational woodwork course and started designing her own pieces, inspired by her belief in elegance and creating useful objects. Her beautiful apartment in Tel Aviv’s Montefiori neighborhood is also a showroom for her designs. Last year, some of Babich’s pieces were presented in Milan, together with pieces made by other young designers. Green Capsule Einat Gefen – from events planner to terrarium creator Though she initially studied industrial design at the Bezalel College of Arts twenty years ago, Einat Gefen spent years working as a private events planner. Five years ago, after coming across a picture of a terrarium - an ornamental, sealed glass container containing soil and plants – Gefen flew to Paris to take part in a terrarium creation workshop and the rest is history; she fell in love with the whole idea and decided to create her very own terrarium brand back home, where she also conducts workshops for individuals and companies alike. greencapsule.co.il green_capsule_
