Tel Aviv | Winona Forever Showcasing female winemakers

This trendy new spot in central Tel Aviv serves excellent wine in a light-hearted atmosphere. The selection of wines is eclectic with bottles from regions of the world that aren’t usually synonymous with winemaking (Austria for e.g.), as well as an impressive selection of wine produced by female winemakers. Winona Forever manages to convey a deep knowledge of enology while remaining easy-going and relaxed in spirit. The kitchen is helmed by Chef Evyatar Malka, the first-ever winner of the Israeli TV show “Game of Chefs”, and serves dishes that accompany the wines on offer to perfection. @winonaforevertlv

Jerusalem | Wine Bar Europe in a glass

While Tel Aviv may be synonymous with the avant-garde and the trendy, Jerusalem does “simple” like no other Israeli city. And what could be simpler than a wine bar called Wine Bar? Indeed, this elegant establishment does not disappoint; situated in the upscale neighborhood of Rehavia, this lovely little nook of European class offers a selection of more than 50 different wines from all over the world. The food menu, crafted to go hand in hand with the wine, is composed of finger food dishes of Italian inspiration and cheese and charcuterie platters with fresh focaccia, all served in an easy-going and relaxed atmosphere. @winebarrr
